Delivering critical health care in Yemen's IDP camps
The Emergency Mobile Health Services project improved access to primary health care services of IDPs and host communities, ensuring that essential medical care reached those in need in Yemen. It also enhanced access and coverage of life-saving nutrition treatment and preventive services, especially for children, pregnant and lactating women (PLW), and girls in conflict-affected districts. Lastly, the project facilitated community sensitization on preventive measures against communicable diseases, and disseminated key information on reproductive health and nutrition. By empowering families with knowledge and resources, the project mitigated the spread of diseases and promoted holistic well-being within IDP camps and surrounding communities.
