How do I know if the fundraiser is from Lutheran World Relief?
Our fundraisers are easy to identify:
- They carry identification badges and will present them upon request.
- They wear LWR-branded items, such as vests.
- They use touchless tablets to collect your contact information securely.
For your safety, our fundraisers will never accept cash or checks at the door.
What is the sign-up process like?
Becoming a monthly donor is simple and secure:
- The fundraiser will collect your contact information on their tablet.
- They will call a verification call center and hand you the phone to confirm your intent to donate.
- During the call, you’ll provide your payment details to the agent to process your monthly donation.
- Once completed, you’ll receive a thank-you text message from the canvasser, followed by a confirmation email.
The entire process takes about 15 minutes and ensures your donation is processed safely and efficiently.
What types of donations do you accept at the door?
For safety reasons, we do not accept cash donations. While one-time donations cannot be processed at the door, our canvassers can email you a secure link to make an online donation. Monthly donations are preferred, as they provide a reliable source of ongoing support for our programs.
