What is CKW Search?
CKW Search is a mobile application for Android smartphones, designed by TaroWorks and Lutheran World Relief's Alliance 12/12 Project in Niger. It is a learning and awareness-raising tool for producers on production and marketing techniques to contribute to household resilience throughout the year.
The app offers technical content in French and Hausa on several production techniques (cowpea, millet, onion, wheat, integrated management, sheep fattening, etc.) and marketing techniques (agricultural entrepreneurship, warrantage, etc.). It is essentially descriptive text with pictorial illustrations.
CKW Search est une application mobile pour Smartphone Android, conçue par TaroWorks et le Projet Alliance 12/12 de l’ONG Lutheran World Relief (LWR) au Niger. Elle constitue un outil d’apprentissage et de sensibilisation des producteurs et productrices sur les techniques de production et de commercialisation pour contribuer à la résilience des ménages tout au long de l’année.
CKW Search est constitué d’un contenu technique sur plusieurs techniques de production (niébé, mil, oignon, blé, la gestion intégrée, l’embouche ovine…) et de commercialisation (entreprenariat agricole, le warrantage…). Il s’agit essentiellement de texte descriptif avec des illustrations imagées. Ce contenu est présenté en français et en hausa.
Pour qui est-il destiné ?
Who is it for?
It is designed to serve as a basic education tool for the awareness building and training of producers. It can be used by facilitators or development volunteers, agricultural technicians and literate farmers. The CKW Search application can only be used on an Android smartphone.
Il est conçu pour servir d’outil de base pour l’éducation – sensibilisation et la formation des producteurs et productrices. Il peut être utilisé par des animateurs ou des volontaires de développement, des techniciens du secteur agricole et même par les producteurs et productrices alphabétisés. L’application CKW Search ne peut être utilisée que sur un Smartphone Android.
Comment l’utiliser ?
How to use it?
Click on this link CKW Search App to download the application. After downloading, double click on the downloaded file on your smartphone and install it.
After installation, open the application. It presents two windows, one in French and one in Hausa. Choose your language of preference and pull down the menu to discover the content.
Cliquez sur ce lien CKW Search App pour télécharger l’application. Après le téléchargement, double cliquez sur le fichier téléchargé sur votre smartphone et installez le.
Après installation, ouvrez l’application. Elle présente deux fenêtres dont une en Français et une autre en Hausa. Choisissez la langue que vous voulez et dérouler le menu pour découvrez le contenu.
