What’s new and different this year?
There are a few major updates we’d like to bring to your attention. Thank you for loving your neighbors through this ministry — and helping us ensure every step of the process is as smooth and efficient as possible.
Year-round dropoff location launches in Pennsylvania
We recently partnered with Mission Central to replace the warehouse in New Windsor, Maryland, which is no longer accepting donations.
You may now drop your labeled boxes of Quilts & Kits year-round at 5 Pleasant View Dr, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050. Please call ahead for an appointment at 717.766.1533.

Quilt & Kit Shipping Fund Updates
Last year, we shipped an amazing 803,181 quilts and kits around the world!
Lutheran World Relief’s approximate cost to transport, process, store and deliver your lovingly made gifts is now $4 per item. That means we currently spend about $3.3 million annually to cover the logistics of the Quilt & Kit Ministry.
Wonderfully generous churches like yours — and individuals like you — provide the funding that has made this ministry possible for over 80 years. Learn more on page 15 of the Ministry Guide.
Baby Care Kit Updates
As was previously shared, all items in your Baby Care Kits must be new or handmade. This change helps us avoid shipment delays and ensures every kit we deliver is a true gift of quality for our neighbors in need. Like-new items that are pristine with no stains or wear are still accepted. Socks and towels must be brand new.
