You might have heard about families caught in the crossfire in the eastern region of the Democratic Republic of Congo on the news, but did you know that at this very moment your love is wrapping those who are suffering the most?
For two years, Claudine, her daughter Twaragiye and her two grandchildren have been living in a small tent, constructed of white tarp and sticks, in a camp near Goma. They sleep on a thin mattress that offers little relief from the hard, black volcanic-rock floor.
“We fled with nothing,” Claudine says. “We ran away in fear. We arrived here with nothing at all.”
They endured these cold, hard conditions until someone handed them an LWR Quilt, a hygiene kit and other essentials to comfort them in their time of greatest need.
Your love travels to the hardest-to-reach places
Your compassion distributed:
9,090 Quilts
6,060 Hygiene Kits
7 camps covering 3,030 tented households
Families also received firewood, cookstoves and food.
We felt a great joy come. We were happy. It made us feel warm.
— Claudine, LWR Quilt recipient
In this troubled corner of the world, peace is often fleeting, and conflict remains a constant threat to families' safety. But, amid the turmoil, there are moments when they are reminded they are not alone or forgotten.
For someone who has lost everything, knowing that someone cares for them can be the single inspiration to keep going.

You are a godsend to neighbors in a time of crisis
Thank you for being the hands and feet of Christ. Because you put your faith into action, your neighbors in the Democratic Republic of Congo and other areas around the world feel love when they need it most.
Your steadfast support makes it possible for us to work in these communities. And we will persist...
