Imagine the struggle and challenges of overcoming homelessness and addiction. You’re so close to starting fresh, a second chance at life right ahead. Then a devastating hurricane threatens to rip it apart all over again.
This was the story of our neighbors in Asheville, North Carolina.
But because of you, “God shows up and proves there are no limits to his love and graciousness to his children.”
That’s how Leigh Ann Bridgman, a volunteer with our partner organization, put it after seeing the immense joy LWR Quilts and Kits brought to residents of a recovering living ministry impacted by Hurricane Helene.

Many residents felt defeated after the hurricane. It seemed like they couldn’t get a break. Then your love surrounded them, just in time for the holidays, and reminded them how much others cared.
What could have been a lonely, grieving day was instead one filled with blessings and thankfulness.
Christmas was joyful for residents because of your compassion.
“The gratitude was palpable,” Leigh Ann said. “Time and time again we were told, ‘This is the nicest Christmas I have ever had in my life’ and ‘This is the best Christmas I have had in a really long time.’”
