Giving Tuesday 2019 was December 3, and on that day we set our biggest goal ever: to raise 100 herds of animals for families in need around the world!
Just to put that in perspective, a herd consists of 13 animals: 2 goats, 2 sheep, 2 piglets, one hen and six chicks. It costs $530 to provide a herd to a family.
We are excited to announce that generous people like you stampeded past that goal. You gave a total of 132 herds. That's amazing!
Especially because animals are a lasting source of food and income for families living in poverty. They act like a safety net against hard times, allowing families to buy food, pay school fees, and access medical care. So you didn't give just an animal - you gave an opportunity to build a more stable future. THANK YOU!
But if you missed Giving Tuesday, don't fret! There are still more opportunities to reach out to our brothers and sisters in need this holiday season. Check it out!
