Coleen Southwell is a donor advisor for Lutheran World Relief. Coleen joined LWR in 2019 after a career in corporate public relations and higher education advancement. Her personal mission is to be an enthusiastic advocate to improve the health and well-being of God’s children. That’s why she was drawn to LWR’s holistic approach to alleviating poverty and suffering for some of the most vulnerable people and communities on Earth.

Coleen hopes that in working with her, donors will experience a deep satisfaction that by sharing their blessings, they have become a powerful force for good in the world. They are truly doing what God calls each of us to do — love God above all and love one another.

Coleen has a degree in journalism/public relations from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Gonzaga University. Originally from Wisconsin, she and her husband currently divide their time between Charlotte, North Carolina, and Ft. Myers Beach, Florida.
