Galo Quizanga
Managing Director, Latin America & the Caribbean (LAC)
Galo is a global leader in the direction, design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of emergency response, humanitarian and economic development programs. With a particular emphasis on poverty alleviation and socio-economic inclusion, he has dedicated his career to supporting vulnerable populations, including refugees, migrants, women and youth.
With over 13 years of global experience, Galo has made substantial contributions across various regions, with a strong focus on Latin America and the Caribbean. His recent work has been pivotal in addressing critical humanitarian crises, including the ongoing situations in Venezuela, Ukraine, and the Sahel. Alongside his humanitarian efforts, Galo has also held significant leadership roles in the private sector across multiple countries.
Galo’s notable achievements include successfully launching programs to significantly enhance food security and private-sector employment. Additionally, he has contributed to key steering committees, including the Self-Reliance Initiative, the Council of Corporate Social Responsibility, and the Poverty Alleviation Coalition.
Galo’s academic background includes studies in International Relations, International Business, Corporate Social Responsibility, and Sustainability. He has taught at various universities in Ecuador, the U.S., and internationally, further demonstrating his commitment to education and global development.
