From December 2016 to February 2017, Lutheran World Relief, Cultural Practice, LLC (CP) and several peer agencies evaluated the Learning for Gender Integration (LGI) projects in India, Uganda, and Nicaragua using a combination of two participatory, qualitative methodologies, Most Significant Change and PhotoVoice, to capture nuanced changes in food security and gender inequalities. Staff from Mercy Corps, Project Concern International (PCI), ACDI/VOCA, and Episcopal Relief and Development contributed to the ‘learning’ aspect of LGI, participating on the evaluation teams, sharing their knowledge throughout the process, and bringing the experience back to their home organizations for further dissemination.
