Quilts & Kits in Haiti in 2016 (1)

In October of 2016, LWR shipped Quilts & Kits to Haiti through our partners, Lutheran World Federation (LWF) and ADEMA, to aid vulnerable populations affected by Hurricane Matthew. This distribution is estimated to reach 16,500 people.

Lutheran World Federation has been working in Haiti for over 30 years in response to emergencies such as cyclones, the 2010 earthquake, floods and even sometimes political instability with LWR.  LWF Haiti works to minimize the effects of emergencies and disasters on the lives of people through local, departmental and regional interventions.

ADEMA is a national NGO based in Haiti that has been working there since 2005. ADEMA works to improve the access of vulnerable populations to basic services through education, local development, and food and water security.

Departed LWR warehouse: October 26, 2016
