Dr. Ramu Bishwakarma
Sr. Technical Advisor, Monitoring & Evaluation, Research and Learning
Dr. Ramu Bishwakarma has more than 12 years of experience conducting research, surveys, results measurements, monitoring & evaluation and project management in various sectors such as agriculture and livelihoods, poverty, socio-economic shocks and resilience, rural economic development, social and environmental impact assessment and health and nutrition. He is a mixed-method researcher, skilled in both quantitative and qualitative research techniques.
A native of Nepal, Ramu started his career there as a financial operations officer with Heifer International in 1999. Since then, he has worked for various national and international organizations, including the World Bank, the International Finance Corporation and various international development consulting firms.
Ramu has a Ph.D. in Sociology and Demography from University of Maryland, College Park, an M.A. in Sociology from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, and an M.B.A., Business Studies from Tribhuvan University, Nepal Commerce Campus.
