We need your support — and supportive government policies — to help our partners weather the storms and achieve long-term development. Let your representatives know you support programs like LWR’s that:
- Establish emergency systems, evacuation plans and sanitation
- Teach techniques for managing water supplies and land fertility
- Introduce drought-resistant seeds and crop varieties to small-scale farmers
- Provide training on crucial skills such as flood monitoring and forest management
Programs that aim to reduce people’s vulnerability and prevent damage are the most cost-effective — and will save lives.
