Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sierra Leone sends thanks for quilts, kits and clothing
In late 2004, Lutheran World Relief sent a large shipment of material resources to be distributed by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sierra Leone. The shipment included:
"There was appreciation for infants' and children's clothing, school kits and sewing kits as the emphasis is now on rehabilitation and sustainable peace in the country," wrote a representative from the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sierra Leone.
"For and on behalf of the Bishop and the entire ELCSL, I wish once more to thank you and all who work with you, for your continued support for and commitment to the ministry of Christ," the letter concluded. Also included with the letter of thanks were photos of several young boys enjoying their new supplies included in the LWR school kits (see above and below).
