FROM THE FIELD
Where will this quilt go?
Who will get this school kit?
I wonder who will wear this shirt?
These questions were asked by 3,000 Lutheran congregations as they carefully made or packed 2,000 tons of gifts quilts, clothing, school and health kits, layettes and soap for Lutheran World Relief recipients worldwide.
Think of this slide show as a parish photo album showing the quilts, clothing, school kits and health kits that Lutheran parish groups send out into the world each year.
These photos are from the former Soviet republics of Georgia and Azerbaijan. The 18 snapshots provide a glimpse of the $10 million worth (1,300 tons!) of gifts given to refugees and other exiles in the Caucasus region by Lutheran World Relief.
