Lutheran World Relief:
Lutherans Changing the World
|
The key to success for Fair Trade is to grow consumer demand, so that more farmers can sell a greater portion of their crop at Fair Trade prices.
Lutherans show their support for Fair Trade by purchasing Fair Trade coffee, handcrafts, and Divine Chocolate through Lutheran World Relief’s Fair Trade program. Since the beginning of the program in 1996, Lutherans have purchased almost 1,000 tons of coffee, $3.2 million worth of handcrafts, and $775,000 worth of Divine Chocolate!
