Divine Inspiration - History

The inspiration for Divine started from Kuapa Kokoo: in 1993 the cooperative members resolved to make a Fair Trade chocolate bar of their own. Kuapa partnered with Twin Trading, The Body Shop, Christian Aid and Comic Relief to form the Day Chocolate Company in 1998 to distribute Divine chocolate in the United Kingdom. 

After many years of success with Divine, Day changed their name to Divine Chocolate. In 2006, Divine Chocolate was established in the United States by Kuapa Kokoo, Lutheran World Relief, Divine Chocolate (UK), Oikocredit, and SERRV International.
