PROJECT COMFORT FUND
Every year, countless Lutheran groups and individuals join their hearts and hands in sewing quilts and assembling layettes and health, school and sewing kits to be distributed to people in need by Lutheran World Relief. Through their love and commitment to these projects, they turn ordinary items into tangible symbols of extraordinary love for people who may feel they’ve been forgotten by the world.
With more than 60 years of experience in navigating the pipeline by which the quilts and kits travel, and by working with qualified overseas partner organizations poised to assist with distributing millions of quilts and kits each year, it’s possible to send an LWR quilt or kit to a person in need for little more than the spare change you might have in your pocket.

Each year LWR spends nearly $1.7 million to operate its quilt and kit ministry. Those funds, combined with the generosity of quilters and kit-makers throughout the United States, enable LWR to distribute more than $12 million worth of quilts and kits annually. What better way to multiply the impact of your donation by nearly 8 times?
Perhaps you don’t sew, or your schedule doesn’t allow time to be part of a kit-making project yourself. Through generous support of Lutheran World Relief’s Project Comfort Fund, you can help to ensure the gifts created by others can reach those who need them most.
