Lutheran World Relief is a ministry of U.S. Lutherans, serving communities living in poverty overseas.
Mission

Affirming God's love for all people, we work with Lutherans and partners around the world to end poverty, injustice and human suffering.

Vision

Empowered by God's unconditional love in Jesus Christ, we envision a world in which each person, every community and all generations live in justice, dignity and peace.

Tomas Telapan is a banana farmer who lives in the Philippines. Through the LWR project in his community, Tomas has learned how to better protect his crops and is now part of a farmers’ organization that helps him store, package and market the bananas for sale.
