A megaphone and a bell are used to sound the ‘early warning’ alert at the cyclone center in Ramchandrapur in Orissa state, India. Team leaders then go to their assigned areas in the village to make sure residents move animals to higher ground and that everyone gets to the cyclone shelter. Children and the elderly get special attention.
